Love coming here very peaceful and relaxing layout. The good is soo good your taste buds won't no what to do. Always have a fresh selection of local brews on tap.

Fast friendly service, great food !

I really enjoy this place.It is close to home. Sometimes parking is tight. They have a small selection of nice beers on tap. Cozy and not so loud that you can actually have a conversation at your table. Grilled cheese and tomato soup are the GoTo.

Really good changing cocktail list. Love seeing what they are going to create next.

Service was great. Our waitress was professional and courteous. The atmosphere is sophisticated.

We usually come for dinner and it’s always a great experience. Fast, friendly service, not crowded, and nice selection of locally sourced, seasonal food. The pork chop, brick chicken, and bolognese are favorites in our family. The burger is also delicious, and the mushroom pizza. They often have great seasonal salads and veggie sides. It’s nice to have a restaurant in this part of town that serves quality, delicious food. I also love that you order at the counter, I feel like it’s a little faster.

I was surprised how good the food was. We came for lunch and a beer. If you're shopping in the area this is a good place if you hate the busyness of Cascade Center to chill and eat.

Portobello sandwich! Best ever!

Great food for a business lunch. Some great choices from pizza to sandwiches to some really down home cooking, with quite a flair of ribs or chicken. Had the small plate of ribs and they were delicious. Have also tried a couple salads and toy can't go wrong. Everything tastes fresh and made to order.

Always a good meal. Been there dozens of times and never disappointed.

Come on, one of the best places on the east side hands down!!!! Food is great, the staff are awesome and the place is always busy. For good reason I might add. The Heisenberg sandwich is off the hook.

Great place to eat.....food was very good. The atmosphere was very inviting. The team there all took alot of pride in what they were doing. The service was quick even during the lunch hour !! The food on the menu was a twist on comfort food .... classics with gourmet ingredients. Overall, I would highly recommend this place for a quick bite to eat for everyone.

I was surprised the first time that such a simple looking restaurant has such a great food. Sandwiches, pizza, daily soup tastes amazing like in expensive high end restaurant. I love their Bah Mi sandwich. The only problem is rush lunch hour. They have a lot of people and it might take you 40 mins just to get your food. So make sure you have enough time if you decide to go between 12-2

Food was amazing! The Brick chicken was fantastic!! And those garlic mashed potatoes were the BEST! The ribs were also good. The chocolate chip cookie was not awesome

Best Caesar ever. Top notch margherita pizza and grilled cheese with tomato soup. The entrees (chicken, pork chop) are high class and delicious. Service is counter style and friendly. Outdoor patio seat during covid is very very cute. (Honestly way better than the interior, which feels a little cafeteria-esque) would highly recommend.

The burger at this place is my favorite, I love the brioche buns and the meat always being cooked and seasoned to perfection. They also do to go mason jars of craft beer for the same price as a pint anywhere else. I haven’t had their chicken entree in a while (it’s my go to burger spot) but the time I did order it I thought it was as good as Redwood and Observatory.

If you like quick bites this place is a good option. I enjoyed my portobello sandwich and soup of the day was fresh. Fast service. Casual atmosphere.

Their food is the best! Great and kid, family friendly place! Must try there beet salad, brick chicken and grilled cheese!

PDX Travelers - for travelers or locals this is a real find in the Airport area. A good portion of Portland vibe with very well-prepared food and a good beverage list, this is a very pleasant food opportunity away from downtown. The soups were excellent, the pork chop was very tasty, the Cuban sandwich was authentic on the inside and wonderfully crisp and tasty on the outside. Looking for an alternative to Airport, hotel or chain food, try this “close to the Airport” establishment.

I went to eat here with very high expectations from previous reviews and I wanted it to be a 5 star place but it just isn’t. Burger was a little dry and over cooked but still tasty. Beer could definitely have been colder and it’s really cool to see the option of having a flight. I think with a few minor adjustments this place would be fantastic. Definitely would come again.

If you're staying at or near the Portland Airport and are looking for a fine meal that's not a chain restaurant this is your place.! I travel for business and enjoy good food when I find it, especially when it is at a reasonable price. Bistro 23 doesn't disappoint. I've been here a few times and the pork chop is excellent definitely a "come-back-again item" that should be on your not to miss list. I've also enjoyed their Cubano at lunch..definitely a favorite as well. Overall I'd say this place is "Simple Done Really Well"... not overly fancy inside, open kitchen that you can see what's what, you order upfront and they bring you the meal. It has a cozy local feel and as I've mentioned...good food. They have a staple bar with all the basics covered and about 8 beers on draft. It's easy to get to and plenty of parking. If you find yourself in the area put this on the list of places to try.

There are few places that can cook a perfect rare hamburger. These pulled it off well. The food was delicious and service prompt. A great lunch at a great place

For a very long time I have been driving by Bistro 23 and have always told myself, I need to stop there. Finally I did! When, I walked in, I have to say I was slightly disappointed! I was ready to be greeted by a host/hostess and sit down to have the full blown experience with a server and all. However, when I walked in, I walked in to a counter service situation; which was just odd to me because I checked out their menu and everything is “farm to table.” The food was amazing. The inside is rather cute and quaint. There is amazing potential for this place to be a full fledged table service restaurant. I think the owners should rethink this. Great food though!

Love this place! They have a wide variety of food to choose from. Comfort food, healthy or just amazing dinner entree's. Very laid back with great service. Everyone we've taken here has enjoyed their meal.

Excellent bistro with fresh food and fast service. I go here every time I am in Portland. Prices are very good and the staff are friendly. Their roasted vegetables are some of the best I have had. Definitely recommend stopping by here.

I happened upon this place when looking for lunch during my lunch break working in Portland. The food was delectable. The grilled cheese was probably the best I'd ever eaten, and the portions were great. No one likes to throw out all the leftover tomato soup, so imagine my surprise when the meal came with just the right amount of tomato soup for tasting and dipping. Following the soup and sandwich combo, I enjoyed the strawberry shortcake. Now, I had a lot of strawberry shortcake growing up. Hell, my mom made it for dinners sometimes. With that being said, the shortcake itself was a little dry, but it still had great flavor. Overall, I was impressed by the atmosphere, pricing, portion sizes, and speed of service. It's a must visit. Btw, I'll mention that I'm currently very pregnant, so my tastes could be a little off concerning the shortcake. Enjoy.

Bistro 23 was perfect! We enjoyed a 'Pig in the Woods' pizza, peach salad and a beer. All were delicious! There's a large seating area, a bar, concrete floors, wooden tables, a few high top tables. The atmosphere is a blend of upscale casualness. Friendly staff. Parking in front. Pay first and then sit down. Great place would eat here again and have different food

Great food close to PDX Airport. With all the Covid restrictions they managed to provide a great take out meal.

Several small bite choices, plus a nice selection of salads, sandwiches and pizzas to choose from. Food is sourced from local farms with a seasonal menu. The menu was interesting and the food fresh. Simple industrial decor, yet warm and inviting. Staff was super friendly and genuinely interested in making sure you were happy with your dish. Must have: stuffed dates small bite

Not busy, food was good. Quick in and out. Menus have changed since my last visit and the counter area. I had the Bistro Burger medium rare closer to rare. Bun was not dry, meat was juicy.

We were a group of 11, including 4 young children. The service was great and the food came fast. We all enjoyed our food. Clean bathrooms. Would go back. Loved the beets.

Pig in the woods pizza was super tasty. Crust was perfect amount of crunch and a slight chewy, well seasoned and an overall perfection of ham, arugula and goat cheese. Tomato basil soup was also rockin! My only nit is they were out of the porter so I drank water. Great environment, music, lighting, laid back and super fresh

It's very interesting to know Russian because bistro in Russian means fast and that is what they are for sure!! Everything is good I'd say besides the bar... They serve the coffee fast and everything else. Don't hesitate to buy pizza because it's really good. I heard someone know someone who told someone else who bought pizza and it was good. Can't beat the quality pretty much. Of course, it's not cheap but it's up to you. I'm not your mom or your dad to tell you to get it or not. It's all up to you

Great cozy spot, with more than just pub fare! Beer selection is a bit limited, but what they do have is pretty good. Really open atmosphere, some tables some booths and bar space. Lots of potential with this one! Had the bolognese, partner had grilled cheese and tomato soup. Neither of us were disappointed.

Bistro 23 is a great place to grab a sandwich or light dinner. You order at the counter and the food is delivered to your table. The restaurant has a couple dining rooms and some small couches and chairs as well as a bar seating area. We both got the avocado BLT sandwiches with a fried egg on brioche and the sandwiches were delicious and fresh. We also tried the raspberry sorbet which was great as well. We would definitely go back if we return to the area.
